Shadow of the Setting Sun
Back to Mortals
A woman in her early 30’s, Sirelia was the High Priestess of the God B’gaan on the island of Heleca. Sirelia fell in love with B’gaan while acting as his priestess, and when her apprentice Ceala was set to take her place, she became jealous, poisoning her apprentice and the people of Heleca to punish B’gaan for what she perceived as infidelity. In the end Sirelia wasn’t a bad person and helped cure the villagers afflicted by her poison, and regretted the deaths of those it had killed. She admitted her wrongdoings to B’gaan and apologized for them just before throwing herself to her death from Heleca’s highest point. The island now blooms once a year on the day of her death with flowers of her favorite color, a brilliant, azure blue.
